A great shopping day starts at a relaxed pace. Before exploring the season's latest arrivals, Marianne and Elen take a moment to enjoy something to drink, plan their day and find a little inspiration.

"I like to start my day with a coffee at Stockfleths and simply watch the people around me. It gives me plenty of inspiration for both styling and which stores I want to visit," says Marianne.

Elen often stops by Kanel Steinovnsbakeri for a cup of tea or a refreshing smoothie. With freshly baked treats, quality ingredients and a cosy atmosphere, it's the perfect place to begin the day before the shopping adventure begins.

Marianne recommends: Don't rush from store to store. Start your day with a relaxed coffee, make a plan and give yourself time to discover something new along the way.

Timeless favourites

The next stop is Follestad at Kjørbokollen. The store spans two floors, with menswear on the first floor and a spacious women's department on the second. It's one of Marianne's favourite places to browse premium brands such as Weekend Max Mara, Cedrico, IRO, IXIAH, Jeanerica and Moncler.

"Follestad is one of the stores I always visit. They're excellent at timeless pieces that last for years, and this summer the women's department is filled with beautiful dresses for everyday wear, holidays and special occasions," says Elen.

Elen recommends: Invest in versatile pieces you can style in different ways. A timeless dress works just as well with sandals during the day as it does with heels in the evening.

The foundation of every outfit

A great outfit starts with the right lingerie. As a Personal Shopper, Marianne knows just how much of a difference well-fitting underwear makes – for comfort, confidence and the way your clothes fit.

"I always end up spending a little extra time here. I discover something new every visit, and the staff are incredibly skilled at finding products that suit you perfectly," says Elen.

Elen's tip: Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch is the foundation I always come back to. It gives my skin a light, natural finish with just the right amount of glow – perfect when you want to look fresh without feeling heavily made up.

Personal style with pre-loved finds

Building a personal wardrobe isn't about buying everything brand new. That's why i Sustain is always one of Marianne's favourite stops. "I often think it's the accessories that make all the difference. A beautiful hat or a stylish bag can completely transform a simple outfit," says Elen.

Elen's tip: Don't be afraid to try a hat you wouldn't normally choose. It's often the little details that make an outfit feel personal – and a great hat is both stylish and practical on sunny days.

Jeans for everyone

Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be surprisingly difficult. As a Personal Shopper, Marianne knows just how much the right fit matters – and how frustrating it can be when your favourite pair never feels quite right.

A taste of Italy

After a few hours of shopping, it's time for a well-earned lunch. Marianne and Elen often stop by Saporito, where authentic Italian flavours, fresh ingredients and a warm atmosphere create the feeling of a little escape to Italy in the middle of the day. From wood-fired pizzas and freshly made pasta to generous salads, there's something for every taste.

Marianne usually chooses the goat's cheese salad, while Elen rarely resists the club sandwich.

"Taking a break for lunch is the perfect way to recharge before continuing our shopping day. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere make the experience even better," says Elen.
